The Sioux Center Public Library offers an outreach program of bringing library materials to patrons at Crown Pointe, the Regency Retirement Residence, and to other seniors who are unable to visit the library. Sioux Center residents unable to visit the library may request home delivery of large print materials and recorded books (Books on CD). Please fill out the application form or call the library at (712) 722-2138 if you have questions about this service or would like to participate.
Request Books for Seniors monthly delivery
Volunteers Needed for the Books for Seniors program!
- If you enjoy visiting with elderly homebound patrons, consider our Books for Seniors Program. At the beginning of each month, librarians will select a bag full of books according an individual’s preference. Volunteers deliver the bag to the patron and spend a little time visiting and looking over the books in the bag.
- The patron can select all or some of the books, and the others are returned to the library along with last month’s books. Volunteers must have a car and a valid license. A short training session will be offered at the volunteer’s convenience. Contact the library at 722-2138 or email us.
- Fill out the volunteer application online or print it off today!
