The Greater Sioux County Genealogical Society has an extensive collection of genealogical materials including local family histories, photos, newspapers, cemetery records, microfilm, and other items of interest.
Genealogy resources are temporarily located in a variety of locations due to a remodeling project. Some items are available at the library and others are available (by appointment) at the Heritage Village.
The Greater Sioux County Genealogical Society meets at 7pm in the Sioux Center Public Library on the third Monday of April, June, August, September, October, and November. Coffee & refreshments are provided.
GSCGS volunteers are also present at the library on Wednesday afternoons to provide research assistance from 1p.m. – 3p.m.
